I am a kenisthetic learner but when "hands on" is really not an option I (especially with mathematics) draw so that I have a visual, physical representation of the task at hand.
I have never had formal experience tutoring. However Throughout my years of schooling I would participate in study groups which I see as everyone tutoring eachother. I also have two siblings, one very close in age and the other is approximately four years younger. Needless to say, I frequently helped my younger sister with her homework. I participated in ROTC and majored in Math and Physics at the University of Colorado. After college, I joined the Air Force and worked in the airfield operations career field. After two years, I was chosen to become an instructor, where I fell in love with teaching. After separating from the military, I substitute taught for a year, primarily focusing on high school math.
