A Little Bit About Me...

I use all the main teaching tools. Both hands on and visually for those students who need different tools. I love to interact with children and adults helping them through their classes to better their future. I also enjoy having a hand in their future success. I truely believe that a great teacher is one who teaches for the greater growth of their pupils and personally I strive to help them succeed.
As an Honor roll student, a student on the Dean's list I was lucky to have graduated early. I taught six graders through opelia. I have also tutored a master's Student through her Statistics. Currently tutoring a student via online on her Senior Algebra for her Liberal Arts degree. I will hold a BA degree come december of 2010. Where I then plan to student teach and obtain a teaching certification.

A Little Bit About Me...

From working with various types of students, I have learned that not everyone can learn material in the same manner. I myself am able to relearn and understand material very quickly and effectively. It is this skill that has allowed me to help friends, "little brothers," and teammates learn material that was previously a struggle for them. I have learned the value of patience when teaching others and will strive to adapt to a students learning style so that they are able to best understand material presented.
As a future medical school student, I worked very hard throughout my undergraduate career and was able to obtain a B.S. in both Cellular Neuroscience and Psychology in only 3.5 years. I strive to create innovative lessons in which students have fun and also have an interesting perspective on mathematics. It has been by my experience that students learn the best through topics in which they can relate. In addition to creating fun challenging lessons, I accommodate kinesthetic, auditory and visual learners. I use a variety of methods and repetitions that will facilitate learning and comprehension at all levels.
