It's impossible to build a house on a poor foundation and I believe in establishing strong, fundamental skills of drawing and painting first. These basic skills then allow a student to branch out according to their individual interests, from cartooning to design to landscape painting and on and on. As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. They ranged from grade 5 to 8. With Breakthrough I worked one-on-one with students as well as in a classroom setting in which I conducted my own lessons.
