A Little Bit About Me...

All students learn at different levels. I like to incorporate all the learning styles of students. Some learn by hands-on, others by listening, and some by writing. These are all used by me. Each student has their own learning style and a teacher has to help each find what works for each student and then incorporate this to meet the needs for that particular student. Education cannot be mass-produced. One style does not fit all. Reading is extremely important to the success of a student. Education is the most valuable tool and weapon to get out of poverty; and it is something no one can ever take away from you.

I was driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education based on my own families background and my own. Because I was overlooked it gave me the desire to help those that seemed mostlikely to not succeed. I earned a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time and being a full time mom. I went on to earn my Masters in Education and Psychology/Counseling. For the past 15 years I have taught in Public schools as well as Private schools.In addition, I have taught at a local Technical College. For the past year I have tutored students in grades 6-9.

I love teaching children. When we see a student struggling, a teacher should go to all ends to the Earth to make sure that student succeeds in the classroom. If students do not feel like they can succeed in the classroom, then they are going to fell like they cannot succeed in life. A teacher’s job does not stop once the school day ends. Whatever we do or say in the classroom stays with those students once they leave the school building. Teachers are planting seeds in these students for them to be able to grow in life.
