As mentioned in my earlier description, I have eighteen years experience as an educator. I have taught students of all ages from early childhood through college and non-traditional adult education. I believe in making learning fun and engaging by relating concepts to points of interest for the individual student.

As a graduate from SUNY Cortland, I was always interested in teaching young adults to exceed their expectations. I have earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education and tutored and written curriculum for over 15 years. I acheived my Master's Degree in 2007 in the field of reading, after seeing the growth of illiteracy, I decided I wanted to make a difference in the field of reading.

I first started tutoring while attending NCSSM, a state funded boarding school for the "best and brightest" students in North Carolina. I went on to continue tutoring at NC State University, where I took a formal class on tutoring to better my abilities, and tutored non-physics major students, including one with a learning disability. After gaining a B.A. in Creative Writing and minor in physics, I moved to Florida where I obtained my teaching certificate for physics, grade 6-12. I have completed all courses for my Associates Degree and was a trainer at my previous position. When in high school, I was a college preparatory student and graduated with a high school Diploma as well as 12 Advanced Placement courses and completed my International Baccalaureate diploma.
I love teaching all grades and levels. The most important aspect of teaching is to know your student. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners. Incorporating all aspects into my teaching style assists the retention of the material. It also has to be relatable to the student, so we have to use relevant examples that they understand.
