I am a computer teacher and technology coordinator at St. Mary's School in Taylorville, Illinois. I contrusted an after school and summer tutoring business in 2016 and have loved every minute. I tutor children of all ages. I have tutored students with speech apraxia, dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities, processing disorders, and IEPs. I believe making the information relevant to the student is important. I like to use humor and real-life examples to keep students engaged. I believe that it is important to know how the child learns to be able to present the material to them in the best manner for them which is what I would base my style on. I obtained Secondary Teacher Certification in Social Sciences. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals. I was an at home teacher for my school district when children were out for extended periods due to illness. I have completed additional continuing education in working with gifted and special needs children. I enjoy sharing my passion for learning with others and love to see the “light” come on when a student finally understands a concept.

Most recently as the Automated Guided Vehicle Systems Coordinator at Caterpillar Inc. in Decatur Illinois. I have written many reports and essays over the last eighteen years. I have served as a before-and-after school tutor/mentor at the Dieterich Elementary School in Dieterich Illinois.
