As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it. I have tutored students in college level geography classes for two years through the Tutoring Center on Frostburg State's campus. In addition, I developed the Geography Help Group which provided assistance to students in upper-level geography and earth science courses including, but not limited to, Cartography, Research Methods in Geography, Surface Water Hydrology, Geology, Soils, and GIS.
