I use a teaching paradigm that stresses the importance of student's needs and learning styles. Every student brings unique skills and perspectives to the classroom and tutor session, and because of this I have found that my teaching strategy changes per student and per teaching situation. For some students, being taught using the socratic method works well, while others like to take notes, absorb the material, then ask questions later during office hours. I tutored students in Early childhood studies but I also can tutor students in elementary math. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Early childhood studies. I will have my bachelor's degree in May 2011 and I am going on to my teahcer credential degree for special needs children. I have tutor at Allan Hancock College. I am currently at Chapman University but I do have a teacher assistant permit.
