I love working with children, especially the ones who have a disability because every child deserves an education not matter what. I have two disabled children myself and they bring me much joy in my life. Every child in this world have the potential to success and discovery their own hidden talents. I too would leran much from each child because they have this determination to never give-up and I will never give-up on a student who is struggling.
I tutored students in Early childhood studies but I also can tutor students in elementary math. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Early childhood studies. In my experience, often times a student’s ability to learn is tied in with their trust of and rapport with the person teaching them. I feel it is important to allow the student to go at his or her “own pace” and not create a frustrating environment where they may feel too pressured. Although the parents may feel frustrated at this point, it is helpful to get their support and encouragement during the tutoring process.
