My classroom experience with Special Education started while in college at Illinois State University, where I gained very valuable experience teaching in a variety of classrooms. For one semester, I taught in a junior high life-skills classroom where we practiced daily living skills and went out into the community so the students could practice skills such as locating items in a store, paying with money, and crossing the street. A Little Bit About Me...

In addition to the administrative experiences listed in my resume, my rapport with the people I serve has always been such that I am seen in their eyes as a 'big brother'. I think I can provide exceptional one on one tutoring for a student of any age. My knowledge has been spread out throughout my college years and this would be a great first step into teaching.
