My comments on tutoring Grammar : Students encounter incorrect grammar usage such as in referring to first, second, and third person, shifting a noun into a pronoun, and use of tenses (future, present, and past). Another mistake students demonstrate is usage of adverb of time, manner, and place. Use of conjunctions and interjections are difficult for some students.

I started teaching right after my college graduation from Philippine Normal University. I taught ESL (English as A Second Language in public schools from 1968 - 1985. From 1985 - 1991 I taught at the United States Refugee Program. On October 1991 I was sent by the US Refugee Program to University of Omaha, Nebraska as a guest lecturer on ESL.
