A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach. I have experience with 5-50 years old and, if pressed, could not name a favorite group. I believe that everyone can learn; some of us just process information in different ways. As a tutor it is my job to discover how a student processes information and adapt my lesson to accommodate them. Learning can be both fun and serious, as long as it is productive.
As part of my lifelong love of learning and teaching, I began tutoring when I was just fourteen years old. While in high school, I usually tutored math (mostly algebra, geometry, and trigonometry) and general science. Once I moved to college, I began to work with middle school as well as high school students again in mostly math and science. A Little Bit About Me...

As an Arizona State graduate, I have developed a strong ethic in leadership, independence, mastery, superior work habits, proficiency in my field, and would like to bring all of these qualities into the academic community. I have earned a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in history. I have learned key grammatical skills due to writing and completing research in my field. During my college career, I have written many research papers, book reviews, and a final thesis paper centered on democracy in Latin America. As a special education teaching assistant I have tutored every level of education with the exception of adults. I am Cpr and first aid certified, as well as CPI certified. I tutored in ELL for two years in all basic educatiion subjects. I am currently employed by Marana High School/Special Educaation. I haave tutored math, english, science, social studies, and computer educaation.
Any tutors goal is to guide a child to a learning experience within that childs comfort zone. An educator, with a calm and patient demeanor can lead a child to their goal. Laughter and discovery are the heart of educating any student. My goal is to lead a student to his or her potential.
