I have had a lifelong passion for teaching, which I look forward to utilizing in order to meet the needs of your child. I have been a fifth and sixth grade teacher for four years, but my teaching experience goes far beyond that. Prior to earning my teaching certification, I was a tutor as well as a children's dance instructor. There is no greater thrill for me than being able to share the gift of knowledge with children. My favorite subjects to teach are math, reading, and writing because I love being able to take the subjects that students find difficult and challenging, and show them how to break it down into something comprehensive as well as fun. As an elementary teacher I know that student learning is individual and should be student centered. I incorporate the specific learning needs and style of each student into the way I approach each tutoring session.

Experienced,certified teacher who makes learning fun!

I am certified by the Arizona Department of Education in Elementary Education, K-8. My teaching experience includes 10 years of public school teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th all subjects and middle school Language Arts. Five out of my ten years experience, was spent teaching 3rd grade which is my personal favorite.
