Professional Modern Standard Arabic Linguist and Translator

I prefer to structure the lessons based off the type of learner the student is. I have tutored many linguists and find that some work better with rote memorization, some with flashcard games, some with conversation. I love to challenge my students with transcription and translation of articles and short news cuts as I find this pushes the boundaries of their vocabulary in Arabic and is interactive as the events are current. I really like to teach but only topics I really believe in. I am not a good salesperson for the same reason, if I don't believe in something you can see right through me. I have seen too many adults and kids taught the steps to something, do "A" then do "B" then do "C". This is fine until it is required that we need to do A,B,F or B,A,C. Then this poor person is left with no other angle. I am very creative and resourceful teacher, if I can teach an understanding of what "A" does, why we do "A", and when to do "A", then when A,B,F is needed the person has skills to think their way through it.
