My comments on tutoring Math : I have taught Math in the GED for twelve years in the English and in Spanish.

I try to engage my student, to tease the learning out of him or her. I have learned to explain, to give the information then to step back, allowing my student to think through to the conclusion. This involves silence sometimes, and the student talking more while I talk less, something not so easy for a teacher of Italian descent. Experiences has shown, however, that it often works.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelors degree in mathematics which I just recently completed in May of 2015 from Binghamton University. I tutored at the university for 2 years in trigonometry and calculus 1. I use a variety of teaching styles to involve students in the learning process: in traditional and computer-mediated classroom settings, and over the internet.
