Cheering Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Arcade, NY

After receiving my BFA in Dance from the University at Buffalo, I got my first professional dancing gig with Carnival Cruise Lines. I did 4 8 month contracts with Carnival, and 1 contract with Princess Cruises traveling to Mexico, Eastern & Western Caribbean, Australia, and the Polynesian Islands. After my time at sea, I was selected to be a full time character/parade performer for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl. You may have seen me in "Trolley" "Celebrate the Season" "Disney's Electrical Parade" "Hoedown Happening" "Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade" and "Countdown to Fun Parade." After a full year of performing in the parks, I was asked to go on tour with Feld Entertainment's "Phineas and Ferb the Best Live Tour Ever!" Where I portrayed the role of "Milly" the Fireside Girl. I was asked to rejoin tour this summer as the role of dancer/tumbler.

I believe that all students have a different way and style of learning. As an educator I take an open approach to teaching. For each student to succeed they must find a style of learning that suits them. I take the time to find the time to find the best way for the student to succeed. In 2005 I graduated from Fredonia University with childhood education including a middle school extension in English. I completed my master's degree in Special Education from Medaille University in 2008. I hold a New York Certification in Childhood Education as well as English through grade 9. I have worked in many educational levels throughout the elementary and middle school. I spent 3 years as a teacher's aide in a pre-school setting. As a graduate of Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, I have been blessed to work with students of all grade levels. I received my BA in Elementary Education grades K-6. Having a degree in elementary education has really helped me expand my knowledge in all subject areas. I have learned through my four years of education different materials, techniques and hands on experiences to help students retain information. I have always loved working with children and helping them grow as a person. I am patient, passionate and enthusiastic when helping children. I actively engage each student through the use of manipulatives, technology and fun hands on learning activities to fit each student’s individual needs. I have spent my life working towards degrees that would help me to give my life meaning. I have earned a B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as, a bilingual extension in Spanish. Since I also love healing through nutrition and energy work, I've earned degrees in Health Counseling and Reconnective Healing. As I continue to learn myself, I hope to inspire people to do the same! I have been working with children ever since I can remember. I love to engage in creative activities with children while helping them utilize their strengths to overcome their limitations. I've learned that by figuring out what motivates a child, s/he can learn anything! I also know that if a child is having fun, it means that s/he is learning something.
