I'd give an example of the problem or do one of the problems and explain step by step how to solve it.
I'm a senior at Wausau East High, I'm graduating in May 2013 and going to the University of Wisconsin Stout. Throughout my education years I've achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher I've never got a 3.5 or higher so I think I'm a decent student. I've helped my siblings in their subjects, I'm better at science though, my second would be math. I like English/Language Arts because, I love to write. Since middle school my math grades have been A,B,or C's never had lower than a C. In my freshman year, I slacked a little but I passed Algebra1 with a C. In junior year, I achieved a B for geometry before moving on to Algebra2. I volunteered for the Special Olympics and for the D.A.R.E program from Elementary students back in 2003 and 2008. With the Special Olympics, I helped cook and serve food to the contestants in the olympics and I also was there to be a friendly and supportive coach-assistant to the athletes. With the D.A.R.E program, I went to Elementary schools in the town of Faribault MN, and I worked along side with the police department to show and educate kids the dangers of meeting strangers and how to handle that type of situation.
I don't have a wide teaching experience but I do enjoy working and helping Elementary or junior high leveled children. Ay my most recent job, I worked in a dept called 'PLAYLAND" where I was responsible for taking care and keeping the children of our customers entertained and busy as their parent's shopped for groceries. I have also assisted a choir class in high s ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

When training employees, my teaching style has always been to learn by doing. I believe that people do best in learning a new task when one explains the task before doing, then shows how to do the task while explaining, and then asks the trainee to do the task with guidance. The same goes for teaching an academic subject - explain how it is done, show a couple of examples while explaining, and then ask them to try with guidance. If this method of teaching is not working for a particular student, I will adapt my teaching to fit his/her needs. I believe that every person has the ability to learn any subject; one just needs to find the method in order to keep them interested and absorbing information.
I graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Dietetics. In order to obtain this degree, I had to take a wide variety of Science courses including: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatom ... read more
