My comments on tutoring PSAT : I have tutored for the SAT (and related PSAT) in the past. I have taken the PSAT myself and was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.

I am a big proponent of the theory of multiple intelligences and believe that each student has certain styles of learning that work best for them. I aim to help students figure out how they learn best. Once they realize where their strengths are, they can incorporate the concept into all of their studies, not just the subject for which I happen to be tutoring them.
I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. Both my PSAT and SAT scores are in the 99+ percentile and include perfect scores of 800 in both the Mathematics and Writing Sections of the SAT. I also received a score of 800 in SAT Math Level 2. I am very interactive with the student and I want them to see me as a friend. I for one do not like to be told what to do and how to do it, that never helps me learn. Throughout my education I have always prided myself in being an excellent student. Although this extended to all my subjects, my most passionate courses have always been in mathematics.
