As I graduated from college with my California State Teaching Credential,I was able to teach 2nd grade for the Los Angeles City School District for three years. During that time I sought to gain as much experience and expertise as possible to prepare me for teaching in a school for missionary children overseas. I studied Spanish intensively for a year in Mexico preparing me to work in Santiago, Chile where I taught first and second grade for almost 40 years. I worked as a teacher assistant for about six months and as a substitute teacher for about ten years. I work as a math remediation teacher for Maplewood Elementary and I worked as a tutor from September 2009 to June 2010 for children in the subjects of math and reading.
