As a graduate of Pfeiffer University's Pre Medical program, I feel that I am qualified to tutor students in the fields of math and science. I have six children of my own and know that every child learns differently, even when they come from the same family. I believe the majority of children can master the material they are presented in school, but it is a matter of time. Many children take a little more time to understand the concepts and master the skills needed to move on to the next level. Sadly many of these children aren't given the time to do it and are just passed on to the next level. I began teaching as a graduate teaching assistant for medical, dental and pharmacy students. In industry, I was an instructor to newly hired sales representatives and I taught microbiology at a local university. I also taught classes on bloodborne pathogens while working in industry, and after moving to NC I did substitute teaching for the local school system and I taught biology at a local community college for a summer semester.
