Basic Learning Skills is one of my top subjects! I teach basic education in the Public schools.

I have been a reserve teacher for the last five years in the Dayton public School system. I teacher basic education from grade k-12, but my best subject is k-3 and I am getting my certify license in early childhood education at Central State. I just got done with my student teaching and that was very educational for me because it was just about what I was already doing in teaching but it let me know that I was doing what I had learning in school. I also worked with preschooler so I know what they can do at their age level.
my teaching style is what the children need to know about that lesson, and how can I help them get what they need to be successful in school. Classroom management is one big thing about my teaching if you don't have order in your class you not running your class its running you and that not good for teaching students.

My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : Over 30 years experience teaching basic skills to elementary school students.

I believe that learners are most successful when they are confident in their abilities. I generally begin by assessing a child's present independent functioning level and slowly building on that. Nothing is more motivating than intrinsic rewards, so I strive to make the learner aware of their growth. I encourage them to celebrate every break through and to minimize the importance of errors. I stress that errors are simply stepping stones to the next level of competence.
I have over thirty years teaching experience in the Chicago Public Schools. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, a Master of Arts degree in special education, and a Master of Divinity degree. I have taught children ages 3 - 15 and tutored youth up to age 18. I have always enjoyed playing the piano. And I took extreme satisfaction from teaching piano. I would sit beside them while they played the pieces I had assigned to them to practice since the previous lesson. If they had problems or questions about something, I was there to help. We'd talk and laugh, and I hoped they learned through it all. Above all, I never wanted to yell at them or berate them, because I knew they'd never learn if they felt pressured or thought I was there only to critize them.
