I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. I have also coached 4H horse quiz bowl and horse judging teams for several years working with elementary and middle school age children.

I am a very avid learner and have earned two degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: a BA in psychology and a JD. I taught science classes to children ages 4 - 12 during my law school career. I tutored elementary school students in basic math, grammar and science during my last two years of undergraduate work. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Math & Science. As a student I worked in the classroom for 3 semesters doing various jobs. I have tutored students in Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies. I have currently been working for Macon County Schools, substitute teaching and tutoring for the end of grade tests.
