Have tutored peers and younger students starting in high school and continuing throughout my undergraduate. Fundamental understanding is what is most important. Just knowing which equation to use for a certain type of problem will not help a student succeed in future courses. Students should also know that repetition is the best way to master a skill.

I have received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Honors Thesis Research at Purdue University. I have recently applied to medical school and taken the MCAT. I have experience in college level physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, and extensive experience in college level biology. I have taught/tutored students at the high school level and I have been a teacher's assistant for a sophomore level biology lab/class. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe the greatest thing about knowledge is the ability to share it. I love to learn, but that is only the first step. The true reward comes in being able to impart that knowledge of someone else. However, each person learns differently. Whether in a classroom setting or one-on-one tutoring, it is imperative that the teacher learn how each student learns. This allows them to teach in a manner that produces the greatest results in students. It is also very important that a teacher cares for their students, that a student knows they are being taught by someone who wants them to learn and is excited about their education.
