I have been an instructor in the Martial arts for over 20 years, and have taught every age group. I have a talent of putting complex issues into layman’s terms. A Little Bit About Me...

I became a teacher after 10 years in the private sector. I taught in California in the Westminster School District for 12 years (2 as a substitute/non-contract and 10 under contract). My subjects have included language arts, social science, and U.S. History. I have developed strong research and writing skills as I have continued my educational path earning a MA, working on another MA, and with my aspirations of earning my PhD in Latin American History. A Little Bit About Me...

As an administrator of a school I oversaw the education of children from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I have eight years experience teaching algebra I, five years teaching business math. I have eleven years experience teaching English grammar from third grade through twelfth grade. I have taught fourth grade for three years, fifth grade for three years and sixth grade for two years.
My goal in teaching is to provide the student with the tools to discover and learn new concepts and to apply this knowledge to the learning process. I do not beleive in giving answers, but rather helping the student learn how to find the answers. I am very patient and will go over a concept until it is understood by the student. I enjoy children who are eager to learn, but try to instill a desire to acheive.
