Early Childhood Education Major Experienced in Tutoring

My teaching style depends on the student, but I like to use demonstrations, work through a problem instead of giving a problem, and I use visual learning methods (pictures and examples)
I graduated high school in 2013 and became a student at Adams State University in the fall of 2013. I then moved to Georgia and I am currently working through my application process to Columbus State University. I did a lot of volunteer work during high school and was involved in many things, ranging from two years in ROTC to becoming a Student Ambassador for the "People to People" program. Patients is my number 1 key all kids do not learn at the same pace.When I work with a child I learn there speed so that they don't feel pushed or rushed ,and I work (sometimes off duty) to figure out different exercisers to improve there speed and there school work performance.
I have volunteered over 80 hours combined from the summers of 2011-2012.I've worked with a diverse amount of students ages varying.Although I do mainly focusing on K-1 ,I am capable of helping any elementary student become successful and improve there selves in what ever it is that there struggling in. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is flexible. Students learn in different ways and at different paces. It is my job to discover how the students learn and what they respond best to. For some subjects, repetition is very important and for others a clearer understanding of the concepts involved is more valuable. I like to start with small skills and build on them.
I have taught two years of middle school and home schooled my daughter. I have worked as a substitute teacher on and off for several years. My emphasis in college was English and Math so I feel very comfortable teaching either of these subjects as well as reading.
