My comments on tutoring Chemistry : Completed over 9hrs organic chemistry and over 12hrs inorganic

I would describe my teaching style as dynamic, creative student-centered
I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am junior at UNT Denton and currently work as an AVID high school tutor at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, TX. I primarily tutor sciences such as biology and chemistry but I am also proficient in basic math classes. I used to be a chemistry major so I am very strong in general chemistry. A Little Bit About Me...

When teaching I like to base the curriculum off of interests of the child so they can understand on a personal level, and also be excited to learn and relate what they learn to the things that they enjoy. I do not personally own any curriculum or books.

I worked for Project Transformation through SMU. I tutored high risk and underprivileged children in Oakcliff with after school homework help. Their ages ranged from 5-12 years old. I along with my fellow tutors also provided extra intellectually stimulating activities when they finished their homework such as future planning and education regarding different cultures.
