Algebra I is one of my top subjects! Algebra is perhaps the most versatile and essential math class that a student can learn. It is by far the most important in moving forward whether in the real word or post secondary education.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. By impowering the student with good base fundamentals, my students find it easier to link concepts together.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored people in math before. Their grades have ranged from 7th-10th grade. I have also helped friends in classes in college that have to do with statistics and other math classes. When I was in high school, the highest math class I had ever taken was Calculus BC. This was the highest math class that my school offered so I believe that I could people pass their math classes in high school and possibly College. I possess over 30 years of academic/industry training the areas of mathematics, networking, programming and engineering. Having taught for 2 universities, 2 community colleges and several private institutions I bring to the class both an academic/private industry point of view. Students are taught not only the specific details of the course but are also shown where the subject matter is used in industry along jobs which might employ this knowledge. I prefer informal/one-on-one teaching with strong interactivity of the student and teacher during the instruction session.
