A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.

A Little Bit About Me...

I feel I have a unique teaching style. Because I have tutored students from sophomore in high school to sophomore in college, I have learned to tailor my teaching style to each specific student. For instance, I have used mnemonics, assignment homework assignments, and suggested drawing diagrams or rewriting notes to help students learn. Additionally, I am a highly dedicated individual and will not ever give up or quit on any student who wants to learn. A Little Bit About Me...

During my graduate program at SIU, I become a teaching assistant and fell in love with teaching. I taught undergraduate laboratory in microbiology and bacteriology to undergraduate students. I have earned a bachelor's in Biology from Augustana and am finishing writing my thesis to obtain my Master's in Biological Sciences from SIU. Since I have written and critiqued my thesis, research papers, lab reports, and other science papers, I have gained much knowledge in grammar.
