Certified Spanish Speaking Bilingual Teacher

I have been fluent in Spanish for more than 30 years. I was a bilingual (Spanish) 4th grade teacher for the last 7 years, as well as an ESL teacher for kindergarten - 6th grades. In 2007, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drake University. Since then I began working as a case manager for people with disabilities. On the side of my job I have volunteered my tutoring skills to a few of my friends over the past couple years with classes like, biology, general chemistry, psychology, as well as physiology. I'm a strong believer in the Gardner's ideas of many different learning styles and types of intelligent. Some students are better audio, tactile, or visual learners. I believe the best way to learn is peer-to-peer learning. As an auto-didact I have the study skills necessary to regurgitate information as taught by the current institutional models.
