I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. My style of teaching involves interesting riddles and quizzes at the beginning of each class to prepare students. I also conduct short quizzes on a regular basis to help improve students speed.
