15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I have a good rapport with my student and have had several that have told me that I am the best teacher they have ever had(which didn't hurt my ego!!) I instructed middle school and high school students for over 12 years before I became certified as a school psychologist in 1998. I have subsequently instructed at the college level since 1998 in the areas of psychology and teacher education. I am a tenured Full Professor. I also continue to complete psychological evaluations for our college's students through our Student Disabilities Service Office.
As a psychologist I understand what it takes to transfer information and get it to "stick" in our central nervous system (brain). After understanding some things about the person I would be tutoring I would then develop a plan to present information to them (in a multimodal manner)that would easily associate with their particular "past environment."
