A Little Bit About Me...

As cliché as this sounds - my favorite part of teaching is the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference. I have interacted with individuals across countless backgrounds and understand the idea of each student needing to hear things in their own terms. The simple concept penetrates through my patient teaching style. Some of my favorite ways to connect with students is to create simple analogies using subjects which interest them. My teaching style is mentoring, or sharing of knowledge, in combination with promoting the understanding of consequences. I strongly believe that learning can and should be an enjoyable experience for student, teacher and any other involved parties, such as parents. While some subjects may require rote memorization, I always try to explain the underlying reason, purpose and benefit of the material being taught.
