I attended a small town highschool, but excelled above most of my peers there. I was on the Honor Roll, i can honestly never remember getting any grade lover than a high B, but once. And that was in Spanish, which I do not tutor in, haha. I believe my strong point would be English. Not only am I good at it, I ENJOY it. I am also very distinguised with computer programs, mostly Microsoft programs.
My tutoring is guided by instructional strategies that help learners make meaning. I ask learners questions frequently to determine what they understand. I adjust my tutoring techniques based on learners' behaviors.

I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt. I am a graduate from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors degree in English; in which, has enabled me an understanding in subject of English and writing. Upon receiving my degree, I began working for Smith County Middle School as an In School Suspension teacher. I am currently finishing my second year at this position.
