My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : I have prepared many students in the past who took pre-algebra courses and helped them prepare for algebra and pre-calculus. I have taught for many yrs, 18 years, the basic concepts behind pre-algebra and how to solve problems using various methods. Lots of experience and problem solving strategies used to break down problems and make them simpler. Assisted students in both private and public schools .
I have been teaching/tutoring the major Sciences and Mathematics subjects for the last 18 years. I have worked at the College, as well as with high and middle schools. I worked for the Public School System in NYC for 10 years, and then for a private non traditional 1-1 school in NYC for 3 years. I have been teaching the majority of the math subjects, such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, pre-calculus and statistics. I also taught middle school math. At the high school level, I taught Physics, which is my major, Chemistry, some Biology and Anatomy, Earth Sciences, and for the middle school , middle school sciences. I taught before at the University, where I was teaching Physics and advanced mathematics and engineering mathematics.
