Musical is one of my top subjects! I graduated on December 16th, 2011 from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelors degree in Music Education with Cum Laude Honors (3.4 GPA).

My teaching style varies on how I feel the student will learn best. Sometimes that may be through demonstration, others though sound. Some students read music better while others learn better through rote.
I student taught for sixteen weeks from August 22nd, 2011 thru December 2nd, 2011. My first eight weeks I worked at a middle school and taught symphonic band, beginner band, and private lessons. During these eight weeks, I gained much experience working with students at all levels and abilities and reached the potential of every student to the best I could. My next eight weeks I worked with elementary students at three different schools. This was a great experiece because I built the foundation of some many future musicians and was able to teach students on multiple instruments with various teaching strategies.

I am a Music Education Major at Towson University.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an older student returning to complete my degree, I was driven to achieve my goal. I worked while completing my education and this gave me a better appreciation for that education. My teaching skills were honed while working with middle school children in the public school system and as a private piano and voice teacher. Experiences in the church setting further added to the experience that has made me a better business person and teacher. I maintained a large number of students in private practice as well as in an educational center setting. A Little Bit About Me...

A wise man once said; to learn, read; to know, write. But to master, teach. Teach is one of those nifty reflexive verbs where the teacher and pupil are interchangeable. If both are patient, resourceful, imaginative and caring the learning becomes less process and more flow. This is always my goal in teaching: creating a positive and flexible environment for all the principles involved. And of course, frequently there must be laughter.
I graduated from St. Lawrence University, a liberal arts foundation of learning that has served me judiciously on the metaphorical road of life. As an Education Director at a Boys & Girls Club, I taught in the non-traditional sense, through after school literature-enhancing programming of various kinds. I instructed K-12 students, and even parents and staff, on many different levels of achievement and ability, so I am very acquainted with diverse populations and accomodating their educational needs through creative tools and approaches.
