I have been tutoring all subjects K-8 for over 15 years. I am a certified teacher and currently teach 6th grade. I worked at Sylvan Learning Center for over a year before becoming a private tutor. I have been very pleased with the results I have seen with private tutoring. References are available on request.
I think lots of modeling and review of the concepts being taught is essential. I want the student to observe the modeling and then for me to guide them through the learning of the concepts. Students should be fully engaged in order to gain a full understanding.

Each student deserves to know that they can achieve. I believe that the level of success a student reaches is, ultimately, up to the student. I feel that with caring & patient guidance a student will be motivated to do their best. I believe in hands on experiences in all areas of learning.
