I love working with children and watching them make connections as they learn. I believe nothing is more important than educating yourself because there is always something more to learn about life. I am available to help your child connect with life and achieve success in it through the work we would do together. I believe there are as many ways to teach a child as there are children and it's just a matter of finding the teaching style appropriate for the child. For instance, I learned best through exploration and self-discovery, through the written word, and by direct discussion with whoever my teacher was. I understand that approach only works for some. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past 30 years, I have worked with special needs students. I believe that students learn at their educational level. The problem with education today, is that students are often in classrooms that stress learning at their frustration level. Many students are in general ed settings, but are forced to use materials that they do not fully understand. In my role as a teacher consultant, I adapted materials so the students could understand it. If chosen as a tutor, I would do the same so the students would learn at their education level.
I am a retired special ed teacher. I worked with Learning Disabled, Emotionally Impaired, Cognitively Impaired, and Austistic students primarily in the high school.
