I'm a strong believer in the Gardner's ideas of many different learning styles and types of intelligent. Some students are better audio, tactile, or visual learners. I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to find the best learning style for each student and build on that format through scaffolding. At the University of Illinois I decided to follow my passion and study both mathematics and finance, this lead to a degree in Actuarial Science. After working as an Actuary for the better part of 5 years, I decided to come back to school to study Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
