I spent two years of intense language study in an immersion type environment with an entirely native speaking teaching team at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, California learning the Arabic language. I spent the following four years using the language professionally, offering tutoring services, and maintaining the language with between sixteen and twenty-four hours per month of languages classes.
