After receiving my college education I taught my own visual art curriculum in Western Illinois for two years. Here I worked with Elementary students and High School Students. My second favorite subject is Math. I have had the chance to tutor and assist student in Nebraska with my Para position at Northwest. I have also been given a tutoring group, which meets three days of the school week. Here I have been able to use my skills in the arts and my skills in math to help students who are struggling. During college I had written many psychology research papers and solved an abundance of challenging math problems. I have worked at Mosaic in Axtell, NE for three years. Here I have educated clients on daily living tasks; and provided assistance with daily cares and activities. I train them to be as independent as possible. From July 15, 2010 up until September 15, 2010 I was a substitute teacher for a special education teacher who was on maternity leave. I taught the kids reading, math, oral comprehension, and vocabulary. I conducted summaries to map their progress, and attended meetings that were held to asses if any changes needed to be put in place for the residents.
