I enjoy teaching math because its something you use in every day life. When it comes to math, I am easy going and patient because I know how stressful math can be if you are struggling with it. I love having the skill to be able to teach another person that skill. In the past, I have used analogies to help students to understand. Some students were able to catch on when I would use a different approach with others. My goal is to make it as easy as I can so that the student will come to love using mathematics.

These qualities are some that if carried on throughout life will help to always achieve excellence. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA, which allowed me to walk with honors. Throughout my studies I have written many papers so I am comfortable with grammar, but many of my classes were math and biology based.

I also took some courses in the Education Department, and substitute taught for public high schools and middle schools in Winston-Salem, NC and Metairie, LA. I have worked in tutoring programs for elementary school children approximately twice a week for a total of twelve months.
