I am more open to the one-on-one teaching because I believe that this allows that student and the teacher to build a better rapport with one another, therefore the teacher is better able to understand how the student learns and is able to help the student better succeed. I have worked with kids who need to keep moving while they learn, to kids who need complete quiet. Some kids are more visual learners; others need to act the lesson out, while others do fine quietly reading. The important thing is to make it interesting so they WANT to learn.
