My comments on tutoring Painting : I studied art at the Maryland Institute College of Art and am an award-winning artist (Marie Walsh Sharpe Finalist and Maryland Distinguished Scholar in the Visual Arts). I can teach introductory and intermediate oil painting for any age.

I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups. I have also been asked to teach small groups of children about art, or help with general homework on numerous occasions.
I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.
