I can relate best with the student/youth.

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. I feel that I didn't fully utilize my strengths in school as I could have, so I would love to share that with those who need it now.

I have been teaching for ten years. I am Literacy First trained and I am on the math vertical team which deal with implemtations of different math concepts. I have been very successful with test score for the end of grade. I have worked as a tutor for the last three years.
My teaching style is one of lecture and classroom discussion with teacher and peers. I believe in letting children discover and learn a concept on thier own. After the children have dicscovered the concept and have small understanding of that concept, I will then come in with the lecture and note taking to clarify any misconceptions.
