When I was a freshman in college, I knew that my future was in my hands. I befriended and contacted my chemistry professor and zoology advisor. I worked in both of their labs, and I was only a freshman! By studying in their research groups, I gained the experience necessary to intern at Sea Life Park Hawaii. In fact, I was published in 2007 after working for Dr. Charlie Cox in the Chemistry Department. Recognizing the need for more hands-on research experience, I found another opportunity with another professor in cellular biology. I graduated from Brigham Young University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English. Before studying English, I was an Electrical Engineering major for two years. During that time I took Physics, Chemistry, Trigonometry, Calculus and Differential Equations. I have extensive experience teaching reading and writing.
