Won 2nd Place at the Second Annual Coastal Bend Engineering Competition. I've taught various math, science, and Spanish courses in substitution for professors and teachers. As a U. S. Naval Officer one of my main responsibilities was training my division as well as the other officers in my area of expertise. The training consisted of Anti-submarine warfare and Damage Control aspects of a Naval ship. I maintained and managed the training of all the fire fighting and damage control for the entire ship. This training consisted of lectures, presentations as well as hands on scenarios.
I love teaching and encouraging others. I really like to pass on my experiences. I am not a naturally smart person, I worked hard all through school and understand the challenges. I believe every child has the potential and just need to figure out their approach to subjects. I also believe that sometime we can mentally block ourselves in certain subjects with fear of difficulty. These are things that everyone can overcome. I think I have over time and succeeded.
