My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : It has been a while since i have tutored the class but i still remember how to do most of this

Teaching style varies depending on how the student learns best.
I have been a high school teacher for the last 6 years. I have recieved high scores 5 years in a row for the End of the year testing that each school must do. I have learned how to teach students that learn in a variety of different ways. I know that the best way for a student to learn is by which teaching methods best fit them.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with students of all ages. I particularly enjoy watching a student's eyes light up after catching on to something new. I know all students learn in different ways, but I believe most people learn best when they are relaxed and enjoying themselves. I also believe it is important, especially for math, tasks be completed multiple times for the ideas to really be remembered. I believe making students explain the material to someone else is an effective way to gauge understanding. Most importantly, I truly care about students as people.
I participated in ROTC and majored in Math and Physics at the University of Colorado. After college, I joined the Air Force and worked in the airfield operations career field. I am a professional scientist and certified teacher in Mathematics and Physics, holding a Missouri State CPC certificate in both areas (valid for 99 years). I have been teaching Regular and College Physics classes at the high school level. Currently, I am teaching Physical and Earth Sciences, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry and Trigonometry. I am also able to teach calculus. I have been taking classes at UMKC to complete the Teacher Education Program. I was involved in after school tutoring programs and have passed the PRAXIS Test in Math with an excellent score. I have also worked as a mathematics and science tutor in "Sylvan" learning center.
