I have many ways of teaching. I like to make the experience rewarding, fun and educational. As I continue to work with others I find their strengths and weaknesses and do the best I can to make the experience fun and as stress free as possible. I have been teaching in the elementary and middle school classrooms for 13 years. I have worked as an after school tutor during many school years with 5-12 graders. In addition to the tutoring, I also directed an after school gifted and talented program where students engineered, designed, and created new inventions. I was a counselor at Camp Invention during the year 2011 which was another opportunity to engage students in learning outside of the classroom. After two years, I was chosen to become an instructor, where I fell in love with teaching. After separating from the military, I substitute taught for a year, primarily focusing on high school math. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with, and teaching, kids, especially in Math. I teach with creative tactics, when necessary, to drive home a concept. I am patient with kids (hey, I have 3 of my own!), and find it rewarding when I can make a difference.
During my Junior and Senior year of college, I tutored at a Children's Home in Lubbock, TX, 3 nights a week.
