My comments on tutoring Sculpting : I carve and sculpt hundreds of pumpkins every year for various clients, and can teach you how too.

I received my B.S. degree in Biology, and am knowledgeable about many sub-disciplines, including life sciences (plants/animals), genetics, evolution, and anatomy. I am generally able to explain difficult biological concepts in a more conversational way. I've worked with high school youth in the past (approx. 2 years experience) in a crew structure teaching job skills (resume writing, interviewing, etc.) and basic biological/ecological principles. I have worked with family and friends to teach basic personal finance and resume-writing tips to help them achieve great results. I am primarily an environmental consultant, and I routinely use MS Office programs to analyze, organize, and present data in easy-to-understand ways. I've taught several co-workers, family members, and friends how to use these programs effectively, and shown them helpful tips to make it easier.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a student I enjoyed school and learning and therefore went on after high school to obtain a B.S in Biology. I have always enjoyed science, math, and writing and enjoy helping others in these subjects as well as others. My first tutoring experience was tutoring underprivileged high school students weekly. I then began tutoring middle school and high school students weekly. Over the course of the school year, the children I tutored had improved a great deal in their courses and now had a positive outlook on learning. Beginning as a student working towards my TEFL certificate, I volunteered at Somali Adult Literacy Training and organization which teaches English to Somalis in the Twin Cities. I continued volunteering with the same organization for 3 years. I have worked with a variety of skill levels and taught students on my own. Additionally, I have completed a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies at North Central University. A Little Bit About Me...

While working on my Bachelors, I volunteered in eight schools working one on one with students, small groups, and classroom settings for language arts. I also student taught junior high language arts. I received numerous teacher of the week recognition when I taught after school art classes. Since graduation, I have been a substitute for all grade levels and subject matter. I received certification as a line therapist for children with autism, in which I advanced the communication skills. My community college gave me the opportunity to work in between classes at the on-site child care.
