A Little Bit About Me...

As and art teacher,a riding instructor, and a person that is interested in special students, I love to help my students learn how to think and solve problems in the style that best suits them. My style may be causual or it may be very structured and organized. In many instances there is more than one way to find the answer to a problem. It is so exciting to see a student find their way through learning problems.
I have taught 15 years in the Missouri public school system. I have taught fine arts, K-12, throughout my career. I have organized and taught an at-risk study hall, provided after school tutoring for 6th graders. I taught 6th grade mathmatics. and tutored reading after school. As a cum laude graduate with my Masters in Counseling I am very much driven and motivated to help and assist others in their endeavors to achieve and do well. I have had several years of tutoring elementary students in math and reading. I have been effective at it and welcome the opportunity to do it again.

A Little Bit About Me...

Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school. I initially started teaching computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. My area of study is really in history and social studies where I worked with students on improving their composition and essay writing skills as well as organization and study skills for adolescents and adults. I currently have two AP students that I tutor and have worked with the Army and Navy in developing and improving the cognitive skills of new enlisted personnel. I am currently he Professor of Business Management at Jarvis College in Hawkins Texas where I teach management and information systems. I also teach orgnizational change for Ottawa University, and I am a consultant with ABD (all but dissertation) candidates while they finish their PhD dissertations.
